A lot of men see cheating like this; do you remember college and how you paid for it? Let’s take that for example, let’s say tuition was $10,000, and you got financial aid for $7,500. How did you get the remaining $2,500? Anyway you could! And there was nothing wrong with that. That’s basically how men view cheating. They typically are going out there to fill a gap. (Be advised, this gap may just be, thrill and adventure.)

Do all men cheat? The short answer is, well, most do. There are tons of articles out on the Internet everyday about why men cheat, and how all men are dogs, and that it’s easy to assume that every man cheats. I’ll save you the time of reading them and I will tell you that there are men who do NOT cheat, yes, there are a few men who do NOT cheat, lol. But, here’s the real reason why men cheat…

…because they can.

The harsh reality of it is, men cheat a lot. Society enables us to cheat, and we feel obliged. It would be one thing if a man had to work really hard to cheat, but because women are bat sh*t crazy they don’t. Women will knowingly sleep with married men or men in relationships because to them there aren’t any real ties. Women sometimes prefer ignorance over knowledge when it comes to men. They make it too easy for a guy. When a guy says, “let’s keep this on the low” there should be a neon sign that goes off in your head that says, “GIRLFRIEND, GIRLFRIEND, GIRLFRIEND.” If he won’t introduce you to his friends, or let you come over to his place (or spend the night), or if you notice that he’s always fresh out of protection, he’s cheating on you, or you aren’t the main chick. However, women turn a blind eye to this behavior.

In addition, there’s something about having the power to have anything you want when you want it. Have you seen that State Farm commercial when the guy yells out, “AND CAN I GET A HOT TUB?!” and it magically appears. Men love to be able to have on-demand wishes. There’s nothing like seeing just how far a woman will let you go. How many times can I shade her when I see her in public? How many times can I ignore her texts? How many times can I tell all my peoples I don’t know who she is? And then, text her at 2:30AM and say, “come thru” and she breaks her neck to drive over wasted from the club.

And sometimes, men are missing something at home and seek to obtain it elsewhere. (<– Weak excuse.) If you’re significant other isn’t producing at home, then you need to let them know. But I mean, maybe a guy just wants to say some dirty things to the woman he’s having sex with. But he doesn’t want to call his wife, “b*tch” or “sl*t.” Maybe he’s not getting “serviced” regularly and keeps the company of a side piece who has an oral fixation. I’ll give you scenario from our previous example, if you end up going to a school you can afford, for instance, Howard instead of Harvard. You can’t be mad that you can’t register for classes online. You get what you pay for.

To be honest with you, if you want to keep a man from cheating, you might just have to take away his ability to cheat. And a lot of women do this very well. I had a boy who got caught cheating on his ex-girlfriend, by his current girlfriend and he got in trouble for it. She basically found out through the grapevine that he cheated on his ex. Do you know what she did? She made him give her all of his passwords: voicemail, facebook, gmail, AIM, etc. And when he goes out at night he has to call every 30 seconds, I mean minutes, to check-in. I guess this is why Chris Rock says when you get caught cheating break up with the girl. A few years later go by and he chose to marry this girl. Would you believe me when I tell you, I was at this guy’s bachelor party and he had the perfect opportunity to cheat and he DIDN’T? He was like an unfenced cow, all that grass in front of him and he didn’t do anything.

I wonder sometimes, that if you have to go through such great lengths to keep a man from cheating, is he worth it?

Before I go, a word about the men who do not cheat. There are men out there who do not cheat. People, men or women who say it’s in our nature, are less than human. It is not in our nature. That’s what makes us different than animals, the ability to not submit to our instincts. There are men out there who have grown up. They want wives and children and they want those relationships to grow in a healthy and fulfilling manner. They appreciate and respect the challenge of being faithful and the rewards it brings. The comfort of being able to trust your partner and exhibit self-control.

Sometimes women excuse men’s behavior on thinking with their wayward regions, that’s a cop out. Every thought goes through your brain. Every single thought. If you put the baddest supermodel in the world in front of me and told me she had HIV, I’d go LIMP immediately. While most men do cheat, there are several of us, who think things through and think about what we really want out of life. Besides, if cheating was natural, then it wouldn’t be called cheating.

It was in my second faltering year of Chinese lessons that my long-suffering teacher told me, “You have a much better understanding of how the language works than my other students.”

So much for my pride. Having done a degree in Spanish and French, and picked up a bit of Swahili in Kenya, I rather fancied myself as a linguist but Chinese gave me my comeuppance. Yet I don’t regret having a go, nor the years I spent reading Proust and Cervantes in the original, and I think it’s hugely disappointing that British children are no longer studying modern languages.

Fewer than one in four of this year’s GCSE students – 22.7 per cent – studied French, with the numbers falling from 341,604 students in 2002 to 177,618. This year alone, there was a further 5.9 per cent fall. German has slumped from 130,976 to 70,619.

They don’t know what they’re missing.

The business arguments are made frequently. China is the world’s largest emerging market, and you need to know the language to understand the customs and culture. Of course, millions of Chinese are learning English but any savvy businessperson wants to understand what’s being said when his or her counterparts are chatting amongst themselves. Why would you choose to be deaf or illiterate?

But what about European languages? It’s French and German which seem to be dying in British schools. It’s a myth that francophones all speak English – when I’m reporting from France, or French speaking West and Central Africa, I work in French all the time. British politicians have recently complained that the cream of EU jobs are being snapped up by – err – Europeans. That’s partly because they learn each other’s languages, while the recalcitrant British don’t see why they should bother. So much for being at the heart of Europe.

And then there’s the question of our brains. Study after study shows that those who are bilingual or learn another language develop enhanced concentration and cognitive skills and even stave off dementia.
(All those Chinese lessons may yet prove their worth!)

Being able to communicate is one of the most satisfying things you can do, not to mention the wealth of literature that opens up. But perhaps the most articulate champion of languagelearning I’ve read recently is the translator Michael Hoffman,  who writes:

“On the individual level, think of the loss of possibility, the preordained narrowness of a life encased in one language, as if you were only ever allowed one, as if it were your skin in which you were born. Or your cage. That’s your lot.

When the great Australian poet Les Murray said: “We are a language species”, he didn’t mean English. We think and are and have our being in, and in and out of languages – and where’s the joy and the richness, if you don’t even have two to rub together?

If you don’t have another language, you are condemned to occupy the same positions, the same phrases, all your life. It’s harder to outwit yourself, harder to doubt yourself, in just one language. It’s harder to play.”

That makes me feel lucky, because however bad my Chinese (and believe me, it is bad) I understand what he means. I guess we speak the same language.

Sometimes its good to make money online the good old fashioned way. Books have been out for like 1500 years. Before that they had scrolls and cave drawings and etc. It really is a good way to market a product, service, or idea. The internet started off with unprofessional looking fan pages and porn sites. When i started blogging for money here on BloggerNoob, ebooks were an already old way to monetize a blog or website.

How does one make money with an ebook? Well back in the day, they had ebooks as pdf files with links to affiliate commission sites. Or it was a way for web masters to lure more visitors to the website.

The important thing is to go out and market. Ebooks are all grown up now. Amazon’s Kindle started it. Of course Sony and the lot had ebooks before the Kindle, but it really was Amazon that popularized it. And you know what happened after that. Apple came in and took the game over. I like to think of Amazon’s Kindle as Magic Johnson, or Larry Bird. And Apple’s iPhone and iPad as Michael Jordan.

Anyway, I’m blabbering off. Please excuse me…i haven’t blogged for a very long time. I’m out of practice.

I’ve been meaning to blog about iBooks Author for a while now. Ever since it came out actually. I’ve been tinkering with it and i think it really has a lot of potential for people who are looking to make money online. Even the lowly noobies and beginners. It’s that easy to use. If you know your way aroundMicrosoft Word, you can easily write and self publish ebooks/ibooks onto Apple’s mighty AppStore.

I won’t do a howto on how to work iBooks Author. Instead i will spit out some ideas about monetization.

First lets look at what kind of books we want to publish. Do we want to make the ebook free or paid. Paid is the obvious choice, but let me tell you, it’s not so easy to get someone to fork over anything over FREE on the AppStore. Just ask Android Developers.

So in the beginning i would recommend going the free route. You’re not going to make money right away with a free book. But you are planting seeds. If you get a lot of downloads, money will follow. That’s what i always tell website owners. Don’t worry too much about money coming in. Just drive traffic to your website.

Let me show you an example. I have a friend who write children’s books. He decided to hire developers to transfer one of his books to the iPad when it first came out. He set the book up as paid. Guess what, not a lot of people downloaded that book. So later he decided to publish his best book for free on the appstore. It made its way up the top ten in his book category. He didn’t make money off of that free book. But it drove up traffic to his website and his second book (paid version) got quite a few downloads. Positive reviews started being posted and he’s doing well now.

See what happened? It’s like boy band members. They don’t make any money on the first album. You gotta get popular and quickly release a second album to make any money. Just ask Justin Timberlake.

Again, i can’t stress enough about the importance of being niche specific. Don’t write some general ass book. Be as focused and niche specific as possible. If you love Cars, don’t write a book about cars. Write about Tokyo Drifting. If you love rap music, don’t go top 40 route. Write about 80′s rap or better yet, write about the Fresh Prince and DJ Jazzy Jeff.

People write books for a reason. It’s not just to improve humanity. They do it to market themselves. Look at Barack Obama. I didn’t even know who he was before he wrote “The Audacity of Hope.” And now look at him. He’s the damn President. If your book gets a lot of free downloads, you’ll become famous. Not really but you will be looked upon as someone with authority within your niche. That can aid you in your money making ventures.

Before you get started. Do some market research. Check out the top 25 list on the app store. See the type of books that are getting a lot of downloads. Check out the pricing. The lower the better. Read about other indie publishers. Network with other publishers. Remember to write what you know and what you are passionate about. Don’t just write to make a quick buck. Allrightythen. Go on and get started. Even if you don’t make any money with it, you’ll feel proud that you’ve published something on the AppStore. How cool is that!
